The Scio City Council last week approved moving forward with the recruitment process for a new city manager — and interim city manager Ginger Allen said she plans to apply for the permanent position.

Scio has been without a permanent city manager since February, and will begin the search to fill the position sometime around July, said Ginger Allen, interim city manager.
